With the refreshing autumn breeze and the fragrance of osmanthus in the air, on October 2nd, the 18th day of the eighth lunar month, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the annual “Hicorp Fitness Festival” arrived for the staff of Qingdao Hicorp Group. A total of 185 participants, including middle and senior-level executives, technical personnel, sales representatives, and the Group’s outstanding employees for the year 2022, embarked on a passionate journey along the Navy Park.

With a thin mist veiling the surroundings and the morning sun painting a picturesque scene, the team gathered at the Marine Science and Technology Museum Square, accompanied by the first ray of dawn over the sea. Chen Xiuyan, the chairman of the Group’s trade union and vice general manager, delivered a mobilization speech, wishing the participating team members success in surpassing themselves and achieving good results. She announced the official start of the fitness event. After a thorough warm-up exercise, at exactly 7 o’clock in the morning, Pang Zhaohua, the director of the Group’s office, gave the starting command. The participants set off from the Marine Science and Technology Museum, passing through the Chinese Academy of Sciences Experimental Wharf, the Navy Park, and finally reached the endpoint at the Observation Deck, covering a distance of 8 kilometers.

With beautiful scenery by their side, teammates accompanied each other. During the event, everyone strode with vigorous steps, feeling the breath of nature as they moved forward. The gentle morning breeze caressed their faces, and the vast blue sea surrounded them, creating a refreshing and invigorating atmosphere. Everyone encouraged and cheered for each other, with laughter and lively atmosphere, showcasing the spirited and positive demeanor of Hicorp employees. At the endpoint, there were mini-games such as “Flying Shuttlecock” (jianzi), “Jumping Ropes,” “Steady Hooping” (ring tossing), “Invincible Chopsticks” (picking up marbles), and “Bounding Like Rabbits” (one-legged relay). During the nearly three-hour event, participants not only experienced the joy of outdoor fitness activities but also tested their willpower and endurance.

In the competitive segment of the event, Xue Kaiwen from CMT Hicorp Group was the first to reach the endpoint and won the championship in the men’s category, while Zhang Yu from Hicorp Heavy Industries claimed the women’s championship. Ten participants from the Group’s headquarters and various companies received second and third place awards. During the award ceremony, Chairman Guan Yangchun and General Manager Sun Xu presented medals and congratulatory flowers to the winners!

As the event came to an end, sweat had already soaked everyone’s clothes, but the smiles on their faces couldn’t conceal the inner joy.
