In the early summer, full of vibrant youth, with the footsteps of the season, the annual “Hicorp BA Cup” kicked off at the basketball court of Qingdao Hicorp Group headquarters. On June 6th, the basketball court was bustling with activity as 87 players from the group and various companies gathered together, with four men’s basketball teams eagerly preparing for the competition. The women’s basketball players were also determined to showcase their skills.

This tournament consisted of the Women’s Fun Relay Race and the Men’s Basketball Challenge. In the Women’s Fun Relay Race, teams of two competed in a relay race involving dribbling and shooting. The team that crossed the finish line first with the shortest time emerged victorious. The Men’s Basketball Challenge featured four teams: Team 1 from CMT, Team 2 from CMT, the Hicorp Heavy Industries team, and a joint team formed by the Group’s functional departments and Qingdao Putian. Each team competed against each other.

In the first event, the women’s shooting competition, the participants collaborated in pairs, working together with unity. The cheers from the crowd grew louder and louder, fueled by everyone’s enthusiasm for the sport. After intense competition, Guan Xiulian and Zheng Yunfang from CMT Hicorp won the championship with a total time of 26 seconds. The teams from the Group’s cafeteria hostel, Yin Enping, Dong Xiaoqian, Sun Ying, and Ding Qingqing, claimed the runner-up position. Three teams secured the third place: Yang Kaili and Lü Mengyu from Hicorp Heavy Industries, Zhou Xiaoyan and Zhang Fenghua, Yin Xili and Li Ping from the Group’s cafeteria hostel.

In the Men’s Basketball Challenge, the four participating teams delivered a thrilling basketball spectacle. On the first day, the matches were between the joint team and Team 1 from CMT, and between Hicorp Heavy Industries and Team 2 from CMT. The teams showcased their skills and the scores were neck and neck. The court witnessed moments of seamless cooperation, remarkable steals, and precise shots, igniting one climax after another. In the end, the joint team and Hicorp Heavy Industries overcame their opponents and advanced to the finals, setting the stage for the championship showdown.

After two days of intense competition, the joint team ultimately stood atop the “Hicorp BA” championship podium, while Hicorp Heavy Industries and Team 1 from CMT took home the second and third place respectively.
